Hi there!

Sorry for the lack of blogging, this year has kicked off to be busier than I thought and I have had to put my creativity aside for a good portion, due to family commitments. But I do have some cards to show you that I have made in the last week for some friends Birthday’s.

So here they are:

The first card is a male card:

This card I made is for an 11 year old:

and this card I actually made for a friend who has been unwell:

Hope you like them.

Until next time

Cindy

Hi again,

Today is my son’s 11th Birthday and as per usual I have left it till today to make his card. Good on ya Mum!!!!  Anyway I have whipped up this card quickly, while he is at school. I have wrapped his presents in some cute froggy paper so I thought I would go with the frog theme for the card as well. Plus his favourite colour is green.

I have used the “Unfrogettable’ Set and background stamp “On the Spot”, which very sadly are both Retiring.

I hope he likes its!

Till next time

Cindy

My Mother-inlaws birthday was this past weekend and we celebrated with a lovely afternoon tea on Sunday. Her favourite colour is green but she really likes the soft subtles colours especially the Sage Shadow. So I made this card with that in mind.

I have used Cardstock: Sage Shadow, Brocade Blue and Whisper White. Stamp set: Botanical Blooms and (Hostess Set/Retired) Warmest Regards. Inks Brocade Blue, Sage Shadow and Basic Black and the Mat Pack.

She loved the card.

I spent this weekend preparing for Worshops I have next week. Again I have themed it on “Valentines Day” so here are the Make & Take projects I have prepared for the guests to make.

Here is a seperate view of the two projects:

For the card I have used the heart from A happy Heart Stamp set and like my challenge card (In the post below) I have incorporated the dashing striped pattern paper with real red and regal rose cardstock.

For the Heart Chocolate gift I have used the Top Note Pattern cut out in regal rose cardstock, folded it in half to attach to the bag the 2 heart chocolates are in. Stamped the heart stamp from the SAB Polka Dot stamp set, as well stamped the words ”With Love” stamp from the SAB Yummy stamp set all in real red ink then used the real red Stampin’ Write Marker to add the faux stitching around the top note to finish it off.

This weeks challenge for the Southern Belles is a Red & Black theme, so I have kept on with the Valentines theme to make this card and Layout.

I have stamped the red cardstock on the card with Polka dot Background in Real Red ink, but it hasn’t shown up very well in the photo Sorry!

Card Recipe: Stamp sets: A Happy Heart, Polka Dot Background Stamp. Cardstock: Real Red, Black. Ink: Real Red, Basic Black. Designer Series Paper: Dashing. Ribbon: Grosgrain Striped Real Red and Silver Split Pins.

Layout Recipe: Stamp sets: Polka Dot Punches, Floral Background Stamp & A Happy Heart. Cardstock: Real Red, Black. Ink: Real Red. Designer Series Paper: Dashing. Ribbon: Grosgrain Striped Real Red.

I just love the colours Regal Rose and Rose Red, they are perfect colours for Valentines. Here are some cards I have made in these two colours using these two cute stamp sets A Happy Heart and Love Owl-ways which are available from Stampin’ Up’s Summer Mini Catalogue.

There are so many blogs I like to browse and a lot of them have challenges for card and scrapbooking layouts. So far I have only participated in my group Southern Belles challenges, but I thought this time I would take up a Colour challenge from a blog I found, which you can see here: “Inkspirations by Makeesha Byl”.

The colours for the challenge are Blue Bayou, Ruby Red and Sage Shadow. Here is the card I made, I have picked Valentines as my theme which I have used “A Happy Heart” stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalogue from Stampin’ Up!®

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set: A Happy Heart and Polka Dot. Cardstock: Blue Bayou, Ruby Red and Sage Shadow. Ink: Ruby Red, Sage Shadow and Blue Bayou. Stampin’ Write Marker: Sage Shadow. Ribbon: Grosgrain 5/8″ Chocolate Chip.
