<p>Hi there,</p>
<p>Its been a while since I have had a play with alcohol inks, so when I brought this gorgeous stamp from Stamp It, I thought it would look great done with an inked background.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Here is what I came up with:</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Whirl-Collage.jpg"></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Whirl-Collage-2.jpg" rel="lightbox-972"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-988" title="Whirl-Collage-2" src="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Whirl-Collage-2.jpg" alt="" width="380" height="520" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I have used 4 colours in the alcohol inks Purple Twilight, Willow, Pink sherbert and Juniper onto the felt applicator and pounced it on to glossy white cardstock. Then I have inked the stamp in black ink , stamped the image onto the  background and have clear embossed and heat set the image with my heat gun. Such a simple technique with a great effect to the finished project.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Card Supplies:</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Cardstock: Stampin&#8217; Up! &#8211; Elegant Eggplant, Pale Plum. White Glossy Cardstock. Inks: Stampin&#8217; Up! &#8211; Basic Black, Versa Mark. Alcohol Inks: Juniper, Purple Twilight, Willow and Pink Sherbert. Stamps: Stamp It &#8211; Whirl Collage and Stampin&#8217; Up! &#8211; All a Flutter. Other: Felt Applicator, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun and Ribbon &#8211; Satin Purple.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Thanks for looking!!!!</p>

<p>Hi there,</p>
<p>Todays card is a technique from a tutorial video I watch from <a href="http://jennifermcguireink.typepad.com/my_weblog/">Jennifer McGuire </a>called Pearlized Ink Blending, when I saw this technique I just could&#8217;nt wait to give it a try. </p>
<p>In the video Jennifer has used this technique on a scrapbooking page, (which looks so stunning).</p>
<p>I thought I would start by just trying it on a card. This is much inspired by her scrapbook page.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Distress-Emboss-Tech.jpg" rel="lightbox-881"><img class="size-full wp-image-882 aligncenter" title="Distress-Emboss-Tech" src="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Distress-Emboss-Tech.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="355" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I&#8217;m lov&#8217;in the pearl sheen effect to the card. Unfortunately the sheen has&#8217;nt come up very well in this photo, but it does looks very sparkley. I&#8217;m really happy that this technique actually worked for me, usually when I try something for the first time on most occasions I normally stuff it up.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Anyway here is the <a href="http://www.creatingkeepsakesblog.com/index.php?s=jennifer+mcguire">link</a> to the video if you would like to see how the pearlized Ink blending is done.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Card Supplies:</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Cardstock: White. Ink: Distress Ink &#8211; bundled sage, spiced marmalade and worn lipstick. Stamp: Stamp It -Foliage Flurry. Other: Ribbon, Carl Punches - Butterfly, large and small. Rhinestones &#8211; Green. Versa Mark Dazzle stamp pad, white embossing powder, Heat gun and Perfect pearls mixed with some water in a mini mister bottle.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Thanks for looking!</p>

<p>Hi there,</p>
<p>We are having some unbelievable weather here in Perth, Western Australia a big storm hit early hours of the morning causing damage all over the city to peoples homes. I thank God we haven&#8217;t had much damage to our property. With all this stormy weather about  and having to stay indoors gives one a good excuse to do some stamping.  This card I have made is for this weeks <a href="http://kgiron.blogspot.com/2010/07/sweet-sunday-sketch-challenge-77.html">Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge</a> .</p>
<p>Here is the sketch:</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/SSSC77-Sketch.jpg" rel="lightbox-756"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-757" title="SSSC77-Sketch" src="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/SSSC77-Sketch.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="400" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I don&#8217;t actually make many tall cards, but I had this gorgeous stamp from C C Designs Apple Emma and Sassafraslass Pattern Paper layed out on my desk to make a card and I thought this sketch was a perfect match for them.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">So here is my card:</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Apple-Emma.jpg" rel="lightbox-756"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-758" title="Apple-Emma" src="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Apple-Emma.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="558" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Card Supplies:</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Cardstock: Stampin&#8217; Up! &#8211; Tempting Turquoise, Textured cardstock, Whisper White and Yoyo Yellow. Pattern Paper: Sassafraslass &#8211; Fresh Pick. <p style="text-align: left;">Hi There,</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">When I saw this weeks <a href="http://www.makeeshabyl.com.au/index.php/category/keeshs-challenges/">Inkspirations colour challenge </a> made me start thinking of a scrap page I had completed in these very colours:</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/makeesha-colour-challenge-2.jpg" rel="lightbox-594"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-595" title="makeesha-colour-challenge-2" src="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/makeesha-colour-challenge-2.jpg" alt="" width="423" height="179" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Here is my scrapbook page:</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Inksirations-Colour-Change-.jpg" rel="lightbox-594"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-596" title="Inksirations-Colour-Change-" src="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Inksirations-Colour-Change-.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="498" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I changed this colour photo of my niece into black &amp; white and I have used chalks to colour the strawberry and the strap of her top. I had never tried this technique before so I was happy with the way it came out.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Scrapbook Supplies:</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Cardstock: Stampin&#8217; Up! - 12&#215;12 Real Red, Whisper White and Old Olive. Pattern Paper: DSP &#8211; Summer Picnic. Stamp Set: Tart &amp; Tangy. Ink: Stampin&#8217; Write Markers: Real Red  and Old Olive. Other: Scallop Punch, 1¼ Circle Punch, Stampin&#8217; Pastels and Chipboard Letters.</p>

<p>Hi there,</p>
<p>Happy Sunday!</p>
<p>Hope everyone is enjoying there weekend, here in Perth its a gorgeous sunny day.</p>
<p>Today me and my family are off to celebrate my Father-inlaws 65th birthday, so I thought I would quickly share a few cards I have made lately before we head out for the day.</p>
<p>This first card I made was for one of the <a href="http://www.makeeshabyl.com.au/index.php/2010/04/02/inkspirations-colour-challenge-20/">Inkspirations colour challenges</a> that I ran out of time and ended up not submitting it. </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Inkspiration-Colour-Challen2.jpg" rel="lightbox-607"><img class="size-full wp-image-609 aligncenter" title="Inkspiration-Colour-Challen" src="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Inkspiration-Colour-Challen2.jpg" alt="" width="380" height="520" /></a></p>
<p> </p>
<p>The next card is some of the left over cardstock and paper piece&#8217;s from the first card, which I thought would look great with this bunny stamp:</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Lifes-a-Breeze.jpg" rel="lightbox-607"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-617" title="Lifes-a-Breeze" src="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Lifes-a-Breeze.jpg" alt="" width="380" height="544" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">This next card I also made for an <a href="http://www.makeeshabyl.com.au/index.php/2010/04/17/inkspirations-sketch-challenge-21/">Inkspiration Sketch Challenge</a> and again I was to late to submit it, Its a great sketch I can reuse alot.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/For-You.jpg" rel="lightbox-607"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-620" title="For-You" src="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/For-You.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="372" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: left;">This last card I have made for a good friend of mine and she loves ducks. I have used the <a href="http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2010/04/mojo-monday-135.html">Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge</a>. which I have mirror imaged the sketch as I want the duck image to sit to the left of the card.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Youre-a-Friend......jpg" rel="lightbox-607"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-621" title="You're-a-Friend....." src="http://www.thestampingstudio.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Youre-a-Friend......jpg" alt="" width="500" height="360" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"> </p>
