Stamping Projects

Hi Again,

Time again for another one of Makeesha’s challenge. This weeks challenge is a sketch. Hope you like what I have come up with this week.

Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

With this card I have used the water misting technique onto the stamp once I inked it up to give this gorgeous water colour look.

The circle backing the stamped image is on doesn’t show up very well in this photo, the colour I have used is Stampin’ Up’s pumpkin pie to pick up the orange in the stamped image and I have used the night of navy marker to create the faux stitching around the edges of the circle.

Card Recipe:

Stamp It: Cling On Stamp - Foliage Flurry & Solid Butterfly. Penny Black Clear Stamp Words - For You. Kaleidacolor Ink - Royal Satin. Kaisercraft: Pearls. Fiskars: Scallop Punch. Stampin’ Up: Cardstock - Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie and Night of Navy. Ink: Night of Navy. Other: Gingham Ribbon

Thanks for looking!!!!

Hi there,

I decided after all the card making I have been doing it was time to do some scrapping. My husband is kind of a “Kombi” fanatic and he is the proud owner of two. So the page I have scrapped is of him in the first Kombi he purchased.

I often scrapbook in my head more so than I actually do physically so I sketched this page out first so I could remember what I wanted to do.

Heres the sketch:

Here is the finished page:

Design - Cindy Banks

I have used a bunch of different stamps and pattern papers and the sizzix die Frame to embelish. I ended up framing the page for him to hang on the wall in his office, he loved it!

Thanks for looking!

Till next time

Hi,

With the kids on school holidays and the weather being just to horrible to go outdoors, today I decided to have a play with the stamp set ”A Kind Word”. I love this set as it is very girly and gives me a chance to use some pretty papers and colours.

So here is the card I made using this set:

Hi again,

When I went over to keesh’s blog to see her challenge for this week I initially thought to myself I’m not going to do that one it’s too much of a challenge. But as I kept looking at the inspiration picture I couldn’t help myself and thought I will give it a go anyway.

So here is what I came up with:

Cindy Banks©

I recently bought this clear stamp “Hoo Hoo There!” from the Lily & Milo Collection by Rachelle Anne Miller and as I was dying to have a play with it, no better time than to use it, but in this challenge.

Recipe:

Cardstock: Whisper White, Rose Red, Apricot Appeal & Pretty in Pink. Ink: Chocolate chip, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Carmel, Rose Red, Apricot Appeal & Pretty in Pink. Blender Pen and Mat Pack. Pattern Paper: Basic Grey Collection - Two Scoops.

Looking forward to the next challenge.

Till next time

Hi Again,

Well I finally have made it here again, It seems that my weeks are going by very quickly and I am sad to say I’m finding it very hard to actually find time for scrapbooking and card making at the moment and the lack of posting is because I haven’t had anything to show of late. But that is about to change as I have been working on some Cd Covers by request from my sister-inlaw.

She works as a Pre-Primary Teacher and at the end of this term she is leaving, as she and her husband are expecting their first child. The cd covers are for gift for the parents as she has taken quite a few photo’s of the children over the year and she asked me to help.

I have only made these up a samples to show her, she will choose her own colours and papers etc….

The first is a card which you open and the cd sits inside of the card in a pocket. I have made one of these before which you can see here Cd Cover (For some reason in the post the inside cover pic isn’t showing, but if you click on it, the picture will come up).

I love this little stamp set Funky Trees and Stampin Wheel to match, I hadn’t had a chance to use this set and thought this was a good opportunity to get some use of it for the cd cover.

This is another cute little stamp set Tart & Tangy, I was so glad that this set ended up in the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalogue as I have used this set so much.

Well I hope these cd covers have inspired you to make one for a gift or one for yourself!

Until next time

Hi there,

I have had my new stamp sets from the new Stampin’ Up!® catalogue for a couple of weeks now, which I have been dying to have a play with so the first stamp set I have used is called Friends 24-7 the moment I saw this set I just loved it.

Here is a couple of quick cards I made.

With this first card you may recognize this from the new 2009-2010 Idea Book & catalogue as I have cased it similar to the card idea on page 81 in the book, but I have used Baja Breeze and Sahara Sand as the base colours, as well as chocolate chip and just changed the card slightly.

This card I have also cased from the catalogue, but again changed the layout & colours, using Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery as the base colours and Designer Series Paper - Pink Pirouette.

Hope to be back to show you some more of my creations with the new stamps sets I have.

Till next time

Cindy

Hi again,

My sons wanted to give there teachers a chocolate egg for Easter, so in the pursuit to find an idea to create something to put a egg in I came across this cute basket from Running with Scissor’s blog.  I have modified the size of my basket to fit a 60g egg.

I made them both in different papers but the same style, here they are together:

They are so cute and very easy to make.

Happy Easter!!!

Till next time
