Stamping Projects

With the last Mini Catalogue I made Punch Candy to post out with the catty’s I sent out to my customers, so I had to think of something different to do this time. Which I thought these teabag holders would be a good idea so that when they recieved the catty they could sit down with a nice cup of tea to browse it.

So here are the finished Teabag Holders:

Inside Cover:

I didn’t use a specific template to make them I just basically measured the cardstock using the teabag size to make it fit. I have used Old Olive and Rose Red Cardstock with the New Designer Series Paper - Bail Breeze and have stamped the flower image from the New Stamp Set - Eastern Blooms in Rose Red ink. Then tied the folder together with Mellow Moss - Taffeta Ribbon to finish it off.

All the Stamp sets, Designer Series Paper’s and Accessories in this Summer Mini Catalogue are just divine so if you are interested in viewing or purchasing some of these lovely products. Please contact me.

I got these photo’s of my son printed the other day and they have been staring at me all week to scrap. So here are two layouts I completed today. This first layout, I have used a New Stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalogue from Stampin’ Up! called “Friendly Flowers” I love this stamp set as it is so versitle to use on any layout or card.

I was really excited this week to receive some new stamp sets from the new Stampin’ Up! Summer Mini Catalogue, soon to be released on December 1st. This stamp I have used on this layout is from a set called “For Father” which is a great set to make male cards. Also new is the patterned paper I have used and is from the Designer Series called Ginger Blossom.

I took this photo about a year ago when our apple tree was blooming and often thought about how I would scrap it, so when I got this stamp I thought staight away of scrapping this photo.

Recipe: Cardstock: Ruby Red, Whisper White, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. Stamp Sets: Back ground - Canvas and For Father. Inks: Stazon Black, Versa Mark, Sahara Sand, Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa and Mellow Moss ( I have used the blender pen with these inks to colour the image) Designer Series Paper - Ginger Blossom. Signo White Gel Pen - Faux Stitching. Note: I have printed the wording from a font on my computer onto Old Olive cardstock.

As per usual I am behind with the weekly challenges set for our group the Southern Belles, so I have tried to catch up with these three cards. The first card is Unusal Background Challenge:

For this unusal backgound I have taken Whisper White cardstock and dobbed three different purple shades of colour and stippled them with a brush to blend the colours together. Then once dry I have stamped the background stamp “Floral” in Perfect Plum ink on top of the painted backgound.

Gloss Card Challenge:

This gloss card challenge I have used the crayon resist technique. Stamp your image in Stazon Black ink, then with a white crayon, colour in parts of the stamped image you want to leave white, then with the colour of your choice ( I have used Regal Rose) sponge over the stamped images to create the crayon resist effect.

Quick Card Challenge:

I find making christmas cards I don’t want to have to spend a lot of time in making, especially when you have to make alot so I thought this card is perfect for the quick card challenge as it is very quick and easy to make.

This weeks Southern Belles challenge was to make a card with an unusual fold, which got me thinking back to a card class I taught about 4 years ago which was a card called Fold Out Z Cards. So here is two cards I have made with this unusual fold.

Here are the Instructions:

Cut a piece of cardstock 7¼” x 9¼”, from the left side score at 2½” and 4¾”. Fold the first score (2½”) to the back and the second score (4¾”) to the front forming a Z. Using Bone folder crease well and unfold and lay out flat. Cut two 2½” x 7¼” strips of pattern paper or coloured cardstock. Adhere one on the left edge of the card and the other on the right edge. Cut 3 circles 2½” in size from cardstock and embelish with your chosen stamp image. ( I have also used the 1¼” Circle Punch and 1 3/8″ Circle Punch to place on top of the 2½” cut circles). Once you have adhered your circles together, Adhere circles down the centre of the first fold. Cut along the outside right half of the circle with a craft knife. Fold card back into the Z fold and your finished.

I came across this great template for a little box with lid, which holds the Stampin’ Up! 3″x3″ Love Notes and Envelopes. I have used the Tart & Tangy Stamp set with the Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper.

Here is a closer look at the Box and Cards:

Here are the instructions to make the box:

Bottom of Box

Cut cardstock 8½” x 5¼”. On the 8½” side, score in 3½” from each end. On the 5¼” side, score in 1″ from each end. Cut in on the 3½” score line up to the 1″ score line. Fold the box up, and use double sided tape to hold it together.

Box Lid:

Cut cardstock 5 3/8″ x 3½”. Score in 1″ on all four sides. Snip in on the 3½” side up to the score line. Add double sided tape to the inside of the corners and fold together.

Decorate with designer paper of your choice and decorate as you like.

Here is a diagram to help as a guide line in making the box. ( With the lid for the box I actually cut it at 5¼” by 3½” as I found the lid to be to long for the box)

Hope you like it. Enjoy!

One of the family’s from my son’s school are leaving to live in the country and as I had quite a few photo’s of there kids from school activity’s, excursions and birthday party’s etc, I decided I would put them on to Cd for them. But I didn’t want to just give it in a plain old boring case. So I made this cover for the cd.

I have used the True Friends Stamp set with the Apple Cider Designer Series Paper from the Spring Mini Catalogue. The cardstock is Chocolate Chip and Really Rust. I have used Stampin’ Write Markers Chocolate chip, Really Rust and Old Olive for the centre flower stamp. I have sewed around the paper with the sewing machine and added the chocolate chip 5/8″ grossgrain ribbon to keep the cover closed, inside I have made a pocket to hold the cd.
