Hi There,

When I saw this weeks Inkspirations colour challenge made me start thinking of a scrap page I had completed in these very colours:

Here is my scrapbook page:

I changed this colour photo of my niece into black & white and I have used chalks to colour the strawberry and the strap of her top. I had never tried this technique before so I was happy with the way it came out.

Scrapbook Supplies:

Cardstock: Stampin’ Up! - 12×12 Real Red, Whisper White and Old Olive. Pattern Paper: DSP – Summer Picnic. Stamp Set: Tart & Tangy. Ink: Stampin’ Write Markers: Real Red and Old Olive. Other: Scallop Punch, 1¼ Circle Punch, Stampin’ Pastels and Chipboard Letters.

Hi there,

I decided after all the card making I have been doing it was time to do some scrapping. My husband is kind of a “Kombi” fanatic and he is the proud owner of two. So the page I have scrapped is of him in the first Kombi he purchased.

I often scrapbook in my head more so than I actually do physically so I sketched this page out first so I could remember what I wanted to do.

Heres the sketch:

Here is the finished page:

Design - Cindy Banks

I have used a bunch of different stamps and pattern papers and the sizzix die Frame to embelish. I ended up framing the page for him to hang on the wall in his office, he loved it!

Thanks for looking!

Till next time

I was really excited this week to receive some new stamp sets from the new Stampin’ Up! Summer Mini Catalogue, soon to be released on December 1st. This stamp I have used on this layout is from a set called “For Father” which is a great set to make male cards. Also new is the patterned paper I have used and is from the Designer Series called Ginger Blossom.

I took this photo about a year ago when our apple tree was blooming and often thought about how I would scrap it, so when I got this stamp I thought staight away of scrapping this photo.

Recipe: Cardstock: Ruby Red, Whisper White, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. Stamp Sets: Back ground – Canvas and For Father. Inks: Stazon Black, Versa Mark, Sahara Sand, Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa and Mellow Moss ( I have used the blender pen with these inks to colour the image) Designer Series Paper – Ginger Blossom. Signo White Gel Pen – Faux Stitching. Note: I have printed the wording from a font on my computer onto Old Olive cardstock.

There is so much nice stuff out there and very hard to resist not buying the whole shop. I did come away with two sheets of the new Basic Grey paper from the collection Offbeat and the sticker sheet that matches and here is what I created with them:

In this layout I have used the stamp set “Wanted”, Background stamp “Sanded” and Designer Series Paper – “Outlaw” from Stampin’ Up! The cardstock is Chocolate Chip and Really Rust. I painted the chipboard letters and stamped them with white ink. I turned the photo from colour to black & white to give it more of a rustic look. Hope you like it.
