Hi Again,

I picked up these notepads from a local stationary shop the other day as I had seen these note pads altered into notepad holders. They make great gifts or even just for grocery or to do list for yourself.

Here is the one I made:

I made this cute little Robin from a tutorial I found here and thought it was great for the front cover of my note pad. Here is a close up of the Robin:

I nearly forgot to mention that I downloaded the template for the Note Pad holder here but as the note pads that I had didn’t fit the template I adjusted and changed the template to fit the ones I had.

Hi There,

Today was mine & my husbands 13th Wedding Anniversary and 13 wonderful years they have been. Anyway we decided this year that we would just give each other a small gift, so part of my gift to him was some of his favourite chocolates, but they look so boring in the package that they come in. So I made this great box called Choc Top Box from a tutorial designed by Makeesha Byl.

So here it is:

I used black cardstock to make the box and covered it just with wrapping paper that I had left over from wrapping his other presents. Stamped out the words from the 2009 Sale-A-Bration set “Yummy” on Whisper White cardstock and then cut it out and adhered it to black cardstock and attached it to the top of the box with black raffier.

Normally my husband digs right into a box of chocolates but this time he said it looked too nice to open. I’m still waiting to be offered one.

Hi again,

My sons wanted to give there teachers a chocolate egg for Easter, so in the pursuit to find an idea to create something to put a egg in I came across this cute basket from Running with Scissor’s blog.  I have modified the size of my basket to fit a 60g egg.

I made them both in different papers but the same style, here they are together:

They are so cute and very easy to make.

I spent this weekend preparing for Worshops I have next week. Again I have themed it on “Valentines Day” so here are the Make & Take projects I have prepared for the guests to make.  

Here is a seperate view of the two projects:

For the card I have used the heart from A happy Heart Stamp set and like my challenge card (In the post below) I have incorporated the dashing striped pattern paper with real red and regal rose cardstock.

For the Heart Chocolate gift I have used the Top Note Pattern cut out in regal rose cardstock, folded it in half to attach to the bag the 2 heart chocolates are in. Stamped the heart stamp from the SAB Polka Dot stamp set, as well stamped the words ”With Love” stamp from the SAB Yummy stamp set all in real red ink then used the real red Stampin’ Write Marker to add the faux stitching around the top note to finish it off.

Recipe: Stamp Sets-Season of Joy, Polka Dot,Big Deal Alphabet. Cardstock-Real Red, Old Olive, River Rock. Pattern Paper-Dashing. Ink-Real Red, Old Olive, Versa Mark. 1 3/8 Circle Punch. Ribbon-1.6cm Gros-grain Old Olive. Clear Embossing Powder and Heat tool.

Here is a closer look at the Box and Cards:

 Here are the instructions to make the box:

Bottom of Box

Cut cardstock 8½” x 5¼”. On the 8½” side, score in 3½” from each end. On the 5¼” side, score in 1″ from each end. Cut in on the 3½” score line up to the 1″ score line. Fold the box up, and use double sided tape to hold it together.

Box Lid:

Cut cardstock 5 3/8″ x 3½”. Score in 1″ on all four sides. Snip in on the 3½” side up to the score line. Add double sided tape to the inside of the corners and fold together.

Decorate with designer paper of your choice and decorate as you like.

Here is a diagram to help as a guide line in making the box. ( With the lid for the box I actually cut it at 5¼” by 3½” as I found the lid to be to long for the box)
