I really like this weeks sketch over at Mojo Monday Sketch Blog. Every Monday I like to check out the new sketch, but for some reason I haven’t participated in any of the challenges as yet.

So this time I decided to submit my card, even though its taken me a week to finally get it done.

Hello,

This weeks colour challenge from Makeesha are great earthy tones, which actually made me stop and think how I would go using these colours. I decided on versatile card that could be given to a male or a female.

Here is the colour combo:

 

Here is my card:

 

I chose to do the emboss resist technique on this card and using the challenge colours to cover the image and then just matting and layering the stamped image in the same colours. I really had’nt any idea of how the layout of the card was going to turn out and after fussing about with it, I’m quite happy with the result.

Now my kids have finished the school term and now on holiday’s I am hoping to have some time to get into some stamping again, so I have started with Keesh’s  colour challenge for this week.

I really love this colour combo:

I was really happy with the way my card turned out, but not impressed with the way it has photographed, the colours are more brighter than the photo shows.
