Cards

Hi Again,

My best friend youngest daughter turned 9 this week and as life gets to hectic we often find it hard to catch up around birthday time, so I sent this card I made in the mail so she would get it for her birthday.

What a great name for a stamp set “Crazy for Cupcakes” and who doesn’t love cupcakes on there birthday.

Recipe:

Ink: Cupcake: Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip Sprinkles: Green Galore, Lovely Lilac, Yo Yo Yellow and Tempting Turquoise. Stampin’ Write Marker: Chocolate Chip for Faux stitching. Pattern Paper: DCWV The Sweet Stack Collection.

Well I hope she likes it.

Hi Again,

To get my self inspired again I thought I would have a go at Keesh’s Inspiration Challenge.

Here is my card:

I have cut out the Flower from my Cricut in Whipser White and the leaves, as well from the Cricut in Sahara Sand Cardstock. Then I have rolled the Jumbo Wheel “It’s Beautiful” in Sahara Sand ink over the flower and in the Whisper White Craft ink over the leaves. The card base is Sahara Sand and I have postioned and adhered the flower and leaves on top of Kiwi Kiss cardstock. I have finished off by placing a button in the centre of the flower and stamped the words from the 2009 SAB set “Yummy”.

I hope you like It.

Till next time

Cindy

Hi again,

I was challenged this week when one of the Mum’s from school showed me this card she had made at a class using acetate, I actually hadn’t seen it done before so when I saw the card she had made, I was challenged to make one myself. Straight away I pictured in my head what I wanted to do (that doesn’t happen very often) and I came home to make it.

So here is my version:

From the stamp set Friends 24-7, I stamped the Damask stamp in Stazon Opaque Cotton White onto the acetate randomly, then I stamped the Damask stamp in Sahara Sand Ink onto some Whisper White cardstock randomly and then repeated over the stamped images with Pink Pirouette ink. Then I sponged over the Whisper White cardstock with Sahara Sand Ink. I stamped the Bird image with Close to Cocoa directly onto the Damask stamped images. I used Close to Cocoa and Pink Pirouette Cardstock to mat the stamped image as well on the inside of the card to write the message. Finally I added flowers with pearl accents to the middle of the flowers to finish off.

I can actually say I was really happy with the way this card turned out. Hope you like it too.

Till next time

Cindy

Hi there,

I was asked by my sons school teacher to help the kids make a Mothers Day gift. She had already bought some cream material roses and asked if I could come up with something using them.

Here is what I came up with:

I got these cute vases from Ikea and tied some Blue Ribbon around them, which the roses sat nicely in. Then I just got the kids to make a simply little card to go with it. I think the kids really enjoyed making them and some of them amazed me with their talent.

Here’s a closer view of the card:

It was a real enjoyable day with the kids, the only thing is that I knew what I was getting for Mothers Day, Oh well!

To all the Mum’s Happy Mothers Day!

Till next time

Hi there,

I have had my new stamp sets from the new Stampin’ Up!® catalogue for a couple of weeks now, which I have been dying to have a play with so the first stamp set I have used is called Friends 24-7 the moment I saw this set I just loved it.

Here is a couple of quick cards I made.

With this first card you may recognize this from the new 2009-2010 Idea Book & catalogue as I have cased it similar to the card idea on page 81 in the book, but I have used Baja Breeze and Sahara Sand as the base colours, as well as chocolate chip and just changed the card slightly.

This card I have also cased from the catalogue, but again changed the layout & colours, using Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery as the base colours and Designer Series Paper – Pink Pirouette.

Hope to be back to show you some more of my creations with the new stamps sets I have.

Till next time

Cindy

Sorry for the lack of blogging, this year has kicked off to be busier than I thought and I have had to put my creativity aside for a good portion, due to family commitments. But I do have some cards to show you that I have made in the last week for some friends Birthday’s.

So here they are:

The first card is a male card:

This card I made is for an 11 year old:

Hi again,

Today is my son’s 11th Birthday and as per usual I have left it till today to make his card. Good on ya Mum!!!!  Anyway I have whipped up this card quickly, while he is at school. I have wrapped his presents in some cute froggy paper so I thought I would go with the frog theme for the card as well. Plus his favourite colour is green.

I have used the “Unfrogettable’ Set and background stamp “On the Spot”, which very sadly are both Retiring.

I hope he likes its!
