Cards

Hi there,

I have a gorgeous friend her name is Claire and she recently had her 10th Birthday and something we both have very much in common is that we both love and adore Hello Kitty! You must admit she really is a cute kitty. Anyway I made her this card using the Hello Kitty die-cut from the cricut machine.

Here it is:

 Isn’t she just so cute!

Hi There,

This weekend we had my nephew’s 13th Birthday, so I thought I would share the card I made for him. I didn’t go with the number theme as I thought he would get heaps of age cards.

I picked up this cute Monster stamp from my local scrapbooking store, knowing I would get good use out of it seeing I have boys. The Happy Birthday to you! stamp is from the Stampin’ Up! Spring Mini catalogue, I have also used the scalloped edge punch and the Pattern Paper is from the green stack collection from Die cuts with a View.

I think my Nephew liked his present an ITunes gift Voucher more than the card.

Anyway I enjoyed making it.

Thanks for looking!

Hi again,

This weekend I had planned to take some time out to get in to some scrapbooking, but unfortunatley it hasn’t happened. My eldest son has come down sick and my husband has redesigned a better rabbit hutch for our bunny’s to live in, so I have ended up baby sitting them all day. But not all hope is lost as I have managed to make a card.

This card I have made is for one of the Director’s at my husbands work, as sadly he has been diagnosed with throat cancer and is off work having kemo treatment. My husband gets on well with him as they both have a common interest which is “Kombi’s”.

I manged to get this great stamp set called Road Trip by Inkadinkadoo, which of course has a Kombi stamp, so here is what I came up with:

Artwork – Cindy Banks

My husband didn’t want my to put any words or writing on front of the card so inside the card I have stamped some get well words.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set: Road Trip. Cardstock: Old Olive, Whisper White. Ink: Basic Black, Not Quite Navy & Basic Grey. Pattern Paper: Cosmo Cricket – Get Happy Collection.

I hope this card cheers him up!

Thanks for looking

Hi there,

I am always excited when Stampin’ Up! release new products and the Spring Mini Catalogue is right up there, with gorgeous new stamp sets and divine new designer series pattern paper.

One particular stamp set I absolutely love is “Great Friend”. I love this set so much I actually haven’t put any of the other new sets I got together yet.

So here are a couple of cards I have made with this set:

Hi there,

Well after a very hectic week I managed to sit down this afternoon to create a card for this weeks challenge, which is to create a project using Designer Series Paper.

Here is what I came up with:

Cindy Banks – Images© 1990-2009  Stampin’ Up!®

I have used Designer Series Paper Patterns - chocolate chip in two of the different patterns, traced a butterfly image on one and cut it out. The base is cameo coral in the textured cardstock and the cut out butterfly in the centre is the plain cardstock in cameo coral. I have stamped the words “Thinking of you” from the Thoughts & Prayers Stamp set in chocolate chip ink onto whisper white cardstock backed in cameo coral. Placed some whisper white taffeta ribbon above the pattern paper and finished the butterfly off with a button and some DMC thread.

Hi there,

This week challenge from the Southern Belles group was to make a card using a background technique. I have seen the technique Pullin’ Pastels but I hadn’t actually tried doing it before, so I thought this challenge was a great time to have ago at this technique.

Here is what I came up with:

Cindy Banks – Images © 1990-2009 Stampin’ Up!®

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set: Great Friend. Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Basic Grey & Pretty in Pink. DSP: Tea Party. Ink: Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Basic Black & Versa Mark. Stampin’ Pastels: Pretty in Pink, So Saffron & Certainly Celery. Other: Ribbon – Gros-Grain 5/8″ Certainly Celery & Spongue Daubers.

I really love the effect the Pullin’ Pastels technique gives. I’m glad I tried it.

Till next time
