Hi again,
The card I’m sharing today I made for my dear Mum it was her 65th birthday yesterday. The family got together last night for dinner as well as some yummy continental torte birthdaycake for dessert. Everyone including Mum had a great night and she really loved this card.
I saw this beautiful paper rose turtorial on the Kaisercraft blog the other day, which I just had to have a go at making one, which came together perfectly for this birthday card for Mum.
Here is the card:

Here is a closer look at the paper rose:

To make the paper roses I have used the flower from the Cricut Cartridge-Mini Monograms, I cut 4 flowers ranging from 2½” – 1¼” in size. Then I screwed them up into a ball and flatten them back out. I roughed the edge’s with the Heidi Swapp Edge Distresser and the rubbed Distress ink over the flower and around the edges, then once I put the flower together I sprayed the whole flower with Glimmer Mist. This closer shot of the flower has picked up the shimmer really well.
